KARMAN KARE DAY
Saturday, January 19th we will be helping the Judith Karman Hospice by volunteering at their Karman Korner Resale Shop in downtown Stillwater. This will be an indoor activity of sorting through donations and helping them stock items to be sold. They have requested that we work in two time slots: 10-12 and 12-2.
Judith Karman Hospice is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care to terminally ill people and their families. With help from the dedicated nurses and home health aides on the JKH staff, families and friends care for their loved ones wherever they call home, enabling patients to spend their final days of life surrounded by the special people and the treasured memories that they love, in comfort and dignity.
This premier resale shop specifically for Judith Karman Hospice takes donations of clothing, furniture and household goods and sells them to the public. Located at 819 S. Main, the venture has been so successful that in 2010, for the first time ever, the shop grossed over a quarter of a million dollars to meet the needs of the Hospice and those of its patients
