Name:Unmanned Aerial Systems - Open Innvation Forum
Date:September 28, 2015 - September 29, 2015
Event Description:
When it comes to unmanned aerial systems, the American heartland has a track record of leadership. Take North Dakota, “Roughrider Country”—home to the nation’s first operational UAS test site and, soon, its first UAS business park.
Bringing his pioneer insights to the Sooner State next month is Shawn Bullard of the Duetto Group—North Dakota’s lead advisor for the Northern Plains UAS Test Site. As a featured speaker at WBToi’s UAS Open Innovation Forum this September, Mr. Bullard will share tips for navigating a still-uncertain UAS policy landscape, as well as his predictions for 2016 and beyond.
"I see infinite opportunities," Bullard told us recently. "Be assured, industry is going to aggressively drive this revolution, much like Henry Ford's Model T and the Wright Brothers' aeroplane. American ingenuity has within its soul the willpower, capacity, and creativity to build a successful model that other countries will mimic."
For the Plains states, that means big business. Says Bullard: "Within the next decade there is no doubt that nearly 80 percent of all drone flights will be associated with agriculture. Farmers are the default leaders, as early adopters, in this 21st century revolution—that is a given."
