Everyone has a story and we want to hear yours! Attend a StorySLAM, a live storytelling competition popularized by “The Moth.” The theme is “Faces of COVID” in partnership with Modella Art Gallery’s exhibition of the same name so story topics should focus on experiences related to the pandemic. Stories must be true, family friendly, and they must be told from memory. In usual COVID fashion, this StorySLAM will take place virtually via Zoom. Hopeful storytellers should prepare a 5-8 minute story to share group. The names of potential storytellers will be selected at random to tell their stories on the night of the event. A $25 gift card to Hideaway will be awarded to the grand prize winner.
