Please join Oklahoma writers Jeanetta Calhoun Mish, Grant Matthew Jenkins, Stacy Kidd, and Timothy Bradford for a public reading of their recent works at Stillwater Public Library on Wednesday, October 19th at 7 PM. JEANETTA CALHOUN MISH's most recent books are What I Learned at the War, a poetry collection (West End Press, 2016) and Oklahomeland: Essays (Lamar University Press, 2015). Her 2009 poetry collection, Work Is Love Made Visible (West End Press) won an Oklahoma Book Award, a Wrangler Award, and the WILLA Award from Women Writing the West. Dr. Mish is Director of The Red Earth Creative Writing MFA @ Oklahoma City University where she also serves as advisor to Red Earth Review and as a faculty mentor in writing pedagogy, professional writing, and the craft of poetry. GRANT MATTHEW JENKINS, Associate Professor of English, teaches contemporary literature and creative writing at the University of Tulsa. He has published two books of poetry, Joy of God and Other Series (Blackbird, 2003) and the most recent in collaboration with Cheryl Pallant, Morphs (Cracked Slab 2009). His poems appear in Source Material, Used Cat., Birddog, Cannibal, Sugar Mule, Syntax, Action Yes, and Big Bridge. Other creative projects include work with digital flash poetry, image, and sound and can be found online at Turbulence.org STACY KIDD's work has appeared in Boston Review, Colorado Review, Columbia, Eleven Eleven, Gulf Coast, The Iowa Review, The Journal, Phoebe and Witness, among others. She’s the author of two chapbooks: A man in a boat in the summer (Beard of Bees Press, 2011) and About Birds (Dancing Girl Press, 2011) as well as the forthcoming book of poetry Red House Over Yonder (The National Poetry Review Press). She teaches as TCC. TIMOTHY BRADFORD is the author of the poetry collection Nomads with Samsonite (BlazeVOX [books], 2011) and the introduction to Sadhus (Cuerpos Pintados, 2003), a photography book on the ascetics of South Asia. Recent work has appeared in Halvard Johnson’s Truck, Atticus Review/Boo’s Hollow, Art Focus Oklahoma, This Land, The Oklahoma Review, and Upstairs at Duroc. He cofounded Short Order Poems in 2014 with Chad Reynolds and is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University.
