Name: New Tax Law Informational Program
Date: February 7, 2019
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST
Event Description:
If you are concerned about how the tax law changes will affect your 2018 personal tax returns, you are not alone. To learn more about how the new tax law changes will impact the average taxpayer, plan to attend a seminar at the Payne County Administration Building (corner of 6th and Duck) on Thursday evening February 7th at 6pm. The presenter for the program will be JC Hobbs. Hobbs is the Extension Tax Specialist and the Director of the OSU Tax School. Hobbs has been with Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service since 1985. His degrees in Agricultural Economics and Accounting are a strong combination for his position as a tax school instructor. He has coordinated and taught for the OSU Tax Schools since 2003. You may be planning to hire a tax-preparer or accountant to file your taxes. Even so, it is still a good idea to have a basic understanding of how some aspects of your tax return will be affected. This is a great opportunity to become better informed. The one-hour program is being offered free of charge by the Payne County OSU Extension office. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP, preferably by 5pm Tuesday, February 5. RSVP by calling the Extension office at 405-747-8320 or by emailing suzette.barta@okstate.edu. For those not able to attend, there is also a recorded webinar that can be made available. Contact suzette.barta@okstate.edu for more information about the webinar.
