On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., the Stillwater Public Library will lead a workshop that takes participants through a powerful, online job finding tool.  The service, JobNow, is a program provided to the library through an OK Connects grant, which gives libraries tools to help community members thrive online.

JobNow is a unique service that features expert resume assistance, live interview preparation and career coaching. This class will provide an overview of the service’s features, including the tools for finding jobs, building resumes, and practicing for job interviews.

JobNow is for use inside the library and for people outside the library who have a Stillwater Public Library card.  The service is free and available 24 hours a day, with live tutoring available from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The class is free, but registration is required and space is limited.  Ten participants will be able to use the computers in the library’s lab and 20 additional participants may bring their own laptop or tablet or sit in without using a computer. 

Attendees should bring their current Stillwater Public Library to start a JobNow account.  They are also invited to bring a digital copy of their resume to learn how to submit it to the online experts.
