(STILLWATER, OKLA. / June 18, 2013) – The summer may be half over, but reading fun is heating up right along with the weather. Stillwater Public Library’s “Summer @ Your Library” continues this week with activities for children and teens.
On Tuesday, July 2, tons of toes will tap into the library when Jean Hill’s Irish Dance Troupe visits on Tuesday, July 2. These phenomenal young dancers from Oklahoma City will perform both hard heel and soft shoe versions of traditional Irish jigs. Dance teacher Jean Hill will teach children about the romantic and mysterious history behind Irish dancing, then get the audience in on the fun when she helps them learn a few of the dance sequences for themselves.
“We love having Jean Hill’s dance troupe at the library,” said Mary Leslie, children’s librarian. “The beat and rhythm are enchanting and you can see how entranced the children are with the students on stage.”
This library favorite will perform at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
