OSU library will host "Hot! Fire Research at OSU” on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The program is part of the library’s monthly “Science Café, which highlights interesting, relevant, and current science research.
“The Science Café gives students and the public an opportunity to participate in lively and engaging conversations about science,” said Karen Neurohr, OSU librarian. “This month’s café features multiple presentations on the important fire-related research being done right here in our community.”
This Science Café includes:
“Fire Safety and Technology” by Dr. Michael Larranaga, Dept. Head, Fire Protection & Safety Technology (College of Engineering, Architecture, & Technology)
“Fire and Apparel” by Dr. Adriana Petrova, Assistant Professor, Apparel Design (College of Human Sciences)
“Fire Effects on the Prairie” by Dr. Dwayne Elmore, Dept. of Natural Resource Ecology & Mgmt. & Wildlife Extension Specialist (Division of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources)
The program takes place in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room. The program is free and open to the public. Parking is available for a fee at the OSU Student Union.
