Name: Critter Tales - Stillwater Library
Date: February 26, 2013
Time: 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM CST
Event Description:

A chinchilla, hedgehog, and snake in the library?  Why, yes!  Stillwater Public Library will be hosting these little critters at a special program where children will get to meet live animals face to face.  The free program, “Critter Tales,” will take place Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 4:30 p.m. as part of the Winter Reading Program.

“Children will get to learn about animal habitats and conservation in a fun and exciting way,” said Elizabeth Murray, children’s librarian.  “By seeing the animals up close, we hope the kids gain an appreciation for wildlife and become inspired to discover more about the world around them,”

The presenters escorting the animals to the library are from Critter Tales, Inc., a non-profit Oklahoma City organization which travels throughout the state to introduce children to wildlife.

“Critter Tales” is open to all ages with a target audience of grade school children.  No registration is required, but space is limited.

For more information or to register, visit the library's website at library.stillwater.org, contact the library Help Desk at (405) 372-3633 or email askalibrarian@stillwater.org.
