The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma State University, and the American Cancer Society are teaming up to beat cancer.  You have a unique opportunity to participate in a cancer research study and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.   Stillwater’s personal goal is to get 500 volunteers for this study, more than either Tulsa or Oklahoma City!

To sign up for the study, visit www.cancerstudyok.org.  You will be asked to sign up for a time and will then be emailed a comprehensive survey to complete prior to your enrollment time on November 7 or 8 (during this day, please plan to spend approximately 40 minutes from start to finish).  You do not have to be a Stillwater resident to participate.

Enrollment Dates:

November 7 -- 7:00 am to 12:30 pm – Oklahoma State University, Seretean Wellness Center November 8 -- 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm -  Stillwater Community Center

Your commitment the day of enrollment involves completing a survey, providing a waist measurement, giving a small blood sample, and agreeing to complete follow-up surveys every few years.  You must be between the ages of 30-65 and have never been diagnosed with cancer.  If you do not fit the criteria, or cannot participate, please do your part by forwarding to others.

More than 1.4 million people in the US will be diagnosed with cancer this year.  More than 562,000 people will die.  This is your chance to help change that.
