The Stillwater Public Library will help readers decide which books to add to their bucket list at a new series beginning Monday, September 23 at 6 p.m.
“There are so many books out there but nobody has time to read them all,” said Scott Freeman, librarian. “’Bucket Books’ is a new series designed to help readers sift through all of the possible titles and learn about the books that truly are must-reads.”
The first program in the series will explore the banned and/or challenged books that are most worthy of a look. The program is being presented in conjunction with National Banned Books week.
Each program will last about an hour and consist of the history of books in the particular topic, a look at several noteworthy books, and discussion. Upcoming programs in the series include Best Horror Titles on October 28 and The Best Books of the Century…So Far on November 25.
