State of Education
Join us as we will hear from Joy Hofmeister, Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction as she talks about the current state of Education in Oklahoma. 
As a child, Joy Hofmeister overcame the challenges of living with dyslexia through hard work and perseverance and committed herself to helping students overcome their own challenges.
Joy was first elected to serve as State Superintendent of Public Instruction in November 2014 and began her second term as Oklahoma's State Superintendent in January 2019. Since taking office, Superintendent Hofmeister has led repeals of ineffective state exams; released a more meaningful and user-friendly accountability system; raised academic standards; bolstered student safety and brought statewide attention to the need for trauma-informed instruction.
The Legislative Luncheon provides an opportunity to hear from our elected local, state and federal key leaders. This is an opportunity to advocate for issues of importance to the Stillwater community. Speakers provide an inside look at our state or federal legislature and answer questions from the audience.
