Drafting Design Intern

Job Description
Exhibiting stewardship for the cooperative, the drafting and design intern creates/transforms initial rough product designs using computer aided design programs into high quality visual aids and renderings. This position will serve as a support role for the cooperatives strategic business development initiatives.

Core Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities described below are the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be all inclusive for this position.  
 Complete all necessary drafting and design for required tasks in AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, etc.  
 Communicate with project leads as needed to clarify details of requested projects.
 Work closely and effectively with other personnel to ensure completion & approval of drawings to meet the project schedule.
 Coordinate with all departments to ensure deadlines are met.
 Manage multiple drafting projects and priorities.
 Perform other duties as assigned. 

Classification 
 Non-Exempt
 Reports to the VP of Business Development
 Decisions and duties are monitored and reviewed that have a distinct impact on the organization. Work requires a high degree of responsibility for information, technology and/or equipment.
 Position has no formal responsibility for the work of others.

Specific requirements and competencies include: 
 High-school diploma required.  
 Proficiency with REVIT  Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
 Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
 Strong motivation to collaborate in a team environment as well as work independently.
 Demonstrates professional work ethic.
 Ability to understand, execute and complete tasks in a timely manner.
 Must become familiar with all company policies and procedures.
 Must have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license
 Use of Technology - Demonstrates required skills, adapts to new technologies, troubleshoots technological problems, keeps technical skills up to date, uses technology to increase productivity i.e. (My Source, Employee Self-Serve Time Entry, etc.)
 Communications – Selects and uses appropriate communication methods.
 Dependability – Responds to requests for service and assistance, follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, commits to doing the best job possible, keeps commitments and meets attendance and punctuality guidelines.
