The public is invited to come and celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Stillwater's annual community commemoration. The program will begin at 7:00 pm at the Community Center with performances by a community choir, speakers Aundrea Jackson, Kay Stewart, and Dr. Earl Mitchell, and a cake and punch reception. The theme for the evening is United: Looking Back, Moving Forward and speakers will share some of Stillwater's lesser known history as well as their hopes for the future. At 6:30 pm, there will be a Unity March from the parking lot of the Stillwater Public Library proceeding to the community center for the program. Everyone is invited to come out and march in unity with friends and neighbors in a show of support, remembering our shared past but also moving forward together.
