Join the community for a weekend of events commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. A film screening of the documentary "King in the Wilderness" will take place on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2:00 pm in the Stillwater Public Library's auditorium as a part of MLK Day 2020 Celebration events. No registration is needed. The film focuses on the final 18 months of King’s life with some never-before-seen footage of interviews with those closest to him interspersed with historical archives. The film is rated TV-14 and runs for 1hour and 51 minutes.
On Monday, January 20, unite with others from the community to walk from the Stillwater Public Library to the Stillwater Community Center as part of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration. The march will leave from the northwest parking lot of the library at 6:30 pm and arrive at the community center in time for the commemorative celebration at 7 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
