The Stillwater Public Library has made numerous changes to its online presence over the past year. The website now boasts a new design, a new catalog and many new services. To help cardholders navigate these improvements, the library will provide a series of classes and labs on how to use them.
 
“We’ve made it a priority to find ways for readers to use the library 24 hours a day, every day,” said Lynda Reynolds, library director. “We started with adding eBooks and continued by adding Zinio, a new eMagazine service.”
 
The first lab on Friday, Oct. 24, will teach users about this new service. Zinio provides readers with over 200 full color magazines that download to most every mobile device or computer.
 
Library cardholders will be scheduled to come to the computer lab between 1-3:30 p.m. Librarians will be available to help users sign up for an account, install the Zinio app and download magazines. Participants must bring their library card and email address. People who want to read magazines on their mobile devices should bring their devices fully charged.
