Join us to hear from Jerin Presley, Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Agency Liaison, as he provides the most recent data of medical marijuana in the state from licensing to tax revenue and any new legislative bills in the works. Since the passage of State Question 788 in 2018, the medical marijuana industry in Oklahoma has seen tremendous growth. In part with passing of the SQ 788, The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority was created as a regulatory agency within the Oklahoma State Department of Health. OMMA is responsible for processing commercial and patient license applications, facilitating the rulemaking process based on state statues, enforcing rules and investigating possible violations of medical marijuana laws and more. Jerin Presley serves the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority as an agency liaison. He collaborates closely with other State agencies to develop policies and procedures that help regulate the medical marijuana industry. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Science Education and spent several years as a school administrator before joining OMMA in 2021.
